Set in the western part of Madeira, this brand new accommodations was built on the grounds of an old sugar cane factory. The Hotel Engenho Velho features scenic sea views, fruit orchards and an outdoor swimming pool. All the air-conditioned rooms at the Engenho Velho feature a private bathroom, seating area with a sofa, satellite TV and a scenic balcony with overlooking the ocean. The elegant dining room has a wide terrace on the outside with a window view from the inside. The restaurant’s specialties include tuna, octopus and other seafood delicacies. An Buffet breakfast is included and can be enjoyed overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Guests can relax in the pool area and its loungers after a refreshing swim. The surrounding green areas are also ideal for hiking or sightseeing. The extensive grounds include varied fruit orchards and vegetable and herb gardens. Public transport is not easily accessible in the area. Taxis are the most used method of getting around if you don't have a car. The Madeira Airport is a 45-minute drive from the unit.
